Longueil-Sainte-Marie, Hauts-de-France
Founded in 1999 by Sébastien Harle d'Ophove, Abbey Lakes is a premier angling center in France, specializing in carp and catfish fishing. The complex officially opened in March 2000 with four distinct lakes: Fox and Heron for specimen carp, Kingfisher for large catfish and pike, and Wild Boar for mixed fishing. In its second year, Abbey Lakes added a fifth lake, Attila, used for growing and stocking carp according to their strict fishery management policy. The natural environment of Abbey Lakes includes weed, crayfish, frogs, and various wildlife such as wild boar, deer, and raccoons, offering an immersive fishing experience. The center provides a secure complex with 6 mature carp lakes, featuring carp over 70lb, and offers on-site accommodation, a restaurant, a bait shop, and a clubhouse with a licensed bar.
