Adirondack Troutfitters offers professional guided fishing trips in the Adirondack Park and on the Salmon River. Head Guide Ryan Baker, a respected angler with extensive experience in these waters, leads the team. Ryan utilizes unique and effective methods for successful fishing, whether it's jigging for Lake Trout or fly-fishing for Salmon and Steelhead. He is a graduate of Paul Smith’s College with a degree in Natural Resource Conservation, Fisheries & Wildlife, and Forest Ecological Sciences, and possesses a comprehensive knowledge of Adirondack ecology and backcountry. Ryan is certified in NYS water safety, NSC CRP, and NSC First Aid, and is skilled in the use of boats and canoes. The team also includes Nicole Morin, a Certified Interpretive Guide and biologist at The Wild Center, who focuses on immersive backcountry expeditions to inspire conservation science. Brett Wimsatt, a Paul Smith's College graduate, works to protect the region's waters from invasive species and is an avid fisherman and hunter. Bob, another Paul Smith's College alumnus, enjoys the outdoors and is a member of the Paul Smith's Bass Fishing Team. All guides are certified in various safety and first-aid protocols, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for clients.
